Muktinath orphanage was launched in 2004 A.D, as a non- profitable, non-governmental organization and a voluntary organization. It is affiliated to the social welfare council of Nepal and is registered to the government of Nepal.
Mr. Jeevan Dhungana (sharma) realizing the need of assistance to the society, the people with moral character, all trusted by the society and honourable ones brought out a solid way -
MUKTINATH ORPHANAGE. Muktinath has become one of the helping agent to the people in society. Many people have been getting benefit since the time it was established. Any work it has launched has been completed without any obligation.
Upto now many programmes by Muktinath orphanage has been launched which helped Muktinath to gain much social status. Activities launched by Muktinath are:
- On 29th Poush 2057, organizing Deusi- Bhailo cultural programme at Krishna secondary school situated at Kharipati, Bhaktapur , Muktinath was able to collect the funds and was successful in optical surgery of 87 poor victims.
- Also on 4th Bhadra 2048, Muktinath orphanage successfully conducted optical surgery helping 35 poor people.
- Optical surgery of 120 victims was conducted worshipping goddess in order to maintain peace and security in the nation.
- On Poush 4th,2049 health diagnosis programme was conducted for free.
- Door to door programme was launched in order to bring awareness among the people of Bhaktapur, Katanju VDC. The title were:
- End the racial discrimination
- Awareness on girl - trafficking
- Education for all
- Stop alcoholism and casino
- Eliminate sex - discrimination
- Follow religion accordingly, without copying others
- In order to bring awareness among the people on racial discrimination, street drama was performed at Suryavinayak Bhaktapur.
- Burning shrine cum cultural programmme with eye donation programme was successful on 9th Poush 2062 at Sallaghari, Bhaktapur.
- In order to bring awareness among the people street drama was performed on 10th to 19th Poush 2062 at 20 places of Bhaktapur, Lalitpur and Kathmandu.
- Going door to door, 5 thousand 1 hundred and fifty- four Nepali Currency as fund and two hundred pairs of clothes were collected and handed over Red Cross Society, Bhaktapur in order to help people at Banke, Bardia with other places affected by flood on 27th Bhadra 2063.
Since its establishment Muktinath orphanage has been conducting various social service in order to develop the status of people and it has been requesting different political parties to favour national progress. As mentioned above it has been visiting for the maintenance and stability of peace and security in the country.
Ultimately, due for conducting such appreciable programmes it has always been appreciated and admired by the government and other people too.
